It takes more than just using the best non-toxic shampoos, conditioners, and masks to support healthy hair and growth. In order to maintain the health of your hair, you must also consume meals that are high in nutrients.


The building blocks of a hair strand are obtained through nutrition. Keratin is a protein that makes up each strand of our hair. Foods high in protein provide the exact raw material required for hair development. Our hair cannot be properly sustained if we do not get enough protein. For strong, beautiful hair, include these five items in your diet.


1. AVOCADO


Avocado and other foods high in good fats are vital for healthy hair. Omega 3 fatty acids support the strength of hair strands and maintain their shine by nourishing hair follicles. These can also be found in walnuts, almonds, and fatty fish.


Particularly high in vitamin E, an antioxidant that supports healthy hair and scalp, are avocados and almonds.


2. PUMPKIN SEEDS


Zinc, which is abundant in pumpkin seeds, is beneficial for both immune system function and hair loss prevention.


3. BONE BROTH


One of the best sources of collagen, which strengthens hair and shields the connective tissues, is bone broth.


Collagen is naturally produced by our bodies, but as we age, its levels start to decrease. Try adding a small amount of apple cider vinegar to aid promote collagen absorption.


4. PAPAYA


Papaya is a great source of vitamin C. Citrus fruits, such as oranges and grapefruits, are also excellent suppliers. Because it preserves and protects collagen storage, vitamin C is perfect for hair development.


5. BROCCOLI


Folate, which is abundant in broccoli, can prevent weak, brittle, or thinning hair. Increase your intake of cruciferous vegetables, which are rich in folate and include cauliflower, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts.
